After the suspension of IELTS and TOEFL during the pandemic, DuoLingo English test(DET) emerged as an alternate language test for students recognized and accepted by thousands of universities and organizations all around the globe.
DET is also a four skill test of reading, writing, listening and speaking English. The results are available in 48 hours and can be sent to multiple universities without any additional cost.
The things that you need include a computer with camera, microphone and speakers and an internet connection. The test is one hour long and you need some kind of government ID to register. The results are evaluated by humans and automated algorithms. The test can be taken twice in a month by a student.
